Gnostic writings contain descriptions of alien predators called Archons, Arkontai in Greek. The texts from Nag Hammadi describe them as heavy, elusive, shadowy creatures. The most common name for them is “beings of the likeness, shadow-creatures.”
They warned that the Archons invade the human psyche, they intrude mentally and psychologically, although they may also confront us physically as well.
Gnostic texts describe direct, physical confrontations with Archons of two kinds, an embryonic or foetal type and a reptilian type. In the First Apocalypse of James, the Gnostic master instructs a student in how to confront the Archons. These predatory entities are said to “abduct souls by night.”

What is a Soul Eater?
 
Wikipedia explains a Soul Eater as an ancient folklore from the Hausa people of Nigeria, Africa. It was believed that a Soul Eater was able to consume an individuals spirit (or soul), causing a wasting disease that proved to be fatal. It is described as a classic form of the cannibalistic witch. In Hausa belief, Soul Eaters are thought to be men who were cursed by these witches and have to eat the souls of humans to live their lives. After a soul has been devoured, the victim disappears in a burst of dust. These mythological beings have been depicted in many cultures through the centuries.
